A free exercise class, run by a physiotherapist? Too good to be true? There must be a catch right? I know this sounds like a sales pitch but it really isn’t and anyone that knows me will know that I am a terrible sales person! In this blog I just wanted to let everyone know that we have recently started running a seated exercise class designed to help keep patients moving. It is being run every other Tuesday at 11am at The Spires Care Home in Lichfield and is free for anyone to attend, you just have to call The Spires on 01543 419740 and ask about the fortnightly seated exercise class. Their website can be found by clicking here.
All exercises are done in a seated position and have been designed by our physiotherapist to help keep people who are currently having some mobility difficulties moving and limber. The exercises are fun and engaging and allow people of all levels to participate. The class is free of charge and is being hosted and organised by The Spires Care Home in Lichfield (this is the large new care home just near the new police station). It is a great place with excellent staff who want to be involved with the community and provide assistance to both residents and anyone who might wish to keep mobile. This is a fantastic service for anyone who is worried about their general strength and mobility etc but is worried that a normal exercise class will be full of young people and also be too challenging for their fitness and balance. Each exercise has been carefully constructed by our physiotherapist to be safe and possible to start at an easy level and then progress on as you become stronger and more mobile.
So, if you are interested then get in touch with The Spires 01543 419740 to book your first session.
